carbon emissions, let me tell you what will not work. it would not work to use cat and trade. cap and trade is being put out as the way to solve this problem. cap and trade is the notion that we will set a limit on how much carbon emissions there will be. we will deal out the cards to people who get to the met this much carbon, and then we will say what -- now somebody else wants to reduce carbon, you have to buy one of these emissions permits. at the same meeting where i met t.j. rodgers, i also met jeff in help from general electric. just in health -- jeff, after giving an impassioned speech about how greene general electric -- she might have thought they were green electric rather than general electorate -- how greene generally lesser was and how -- how greene general electric was and how deserving they were to get this, more efficient engines, and so on and so forth. he capped it quite well when i asked him a question, were they really that green or with a just lobbying? he got a little bit mad, and he said, if you are not at the table, you're on the menu. let that soak in for

was shot and spoke to a man who lives across the street. he told us he heard 30 shots from what he thought was an assault rifle. and says he hit the ground immediately. it was around 10:30 last night in the 1200 block of 87th avenue. after getting up and making his way outside, he saw family members running out of that house, screaming, they shot mama. police are not releasing any information about the woman. but the neighbor told us, he thought she was in her 50s, living with her large family, along 87th avenue. the man said he had just moved into the neighborhood and hadn't had any problems. so this scared him. paramedics did take the woman to the hospital. and as i mentioned, she's in critical condition. we're live at police headquarters this morning. notice arrests so far. but again, we are waiting for an update from police. reporting live, jade hernandez, ktvu channel 2 news. >>> police in oakland are looking for two other leads. they both took place about 9:45 last night. and one of the shootings was deadly. the fatal shooting happened near a gunfight at 45th and international. polic
